2 Suncraft Senzo Twisted Octagon Knife Set in a Decorative Cardboard Box

The set includes the most commonly used kitchen knives: a 200 mm chef's knife and its Japanese counterpart – a Santoku knife with a blade length of 167 mm. Santoku is a multi-functional Japanese-style knife, the equivalent of the popular chef's knife in the West. Its name means "three virtues" or perhaps "three virtues". There's a reason for this – this knife is perfect for slicing meat, fish, and vegetables. An additional element of the set is an elegant and exclusive cardboard packaging, perfect for a gift.

The characteristic handle shape of the SENZO TWISTED OCTAGON series products was inspired by the octagonal figure, which is important to Japanese culture. For user comfort and better grip, the octagonal knife handle is additionally slightly twisted.

SENZO  TWISTED OCTAGON series Suncraft  knives are made of 33 layers of stainless steel, the so-called Damascus steel*, reinforced with VG-10 steel **. This composition is extremely durable, and the blade itself is resistant to wear and dulling. A subtle, wavy pattern, reminiscent of samurai swords, is depicted in close-up. The Japanese design is complemented by a handle made of white Pakkawood *** and a red ring at the base of the blade. The series includes: a chef's knife in two sizes, a slicing knife, a utility knife, Santoku, and Sashimi knives.

* Damascus steel – modern so-called Damascus steel consists of super-thin stainless steel sheets layered one on top of another, where the middle 25% of the sheets form the core, and the remaining 75% consist of sheets of varying hardness – alternating layers of soft and hard steel. As a result, a "wavy" effect is created on the knife's surface.

**VG-10 steel, this type of steel was considered the best for manufacturing kitchen knives. Chefs appreciate both the beautiful design of VG-10 knives and their exceptional durability. VG-10 is a high-hardness material, with a value of HRC 60 on the HRC scale. For this reason, knives made from it are extremely sharp and highly resistant to abrasion.

***Pakkawood – this is laminated birch or maple wood, impregnated with resin. It is highly resistant to heat and moisture and was specifically developed for knife handles.
