Masahiro BWH Chopping Knife 180 mm 788 g [14093]
The Masahiro BWH Chopper is a heavy butcher's cleaver that can be used for processing, slicing, and chopping raw meat. Its significant weight aids in chopping small bones or cartilage. A cleaver is also a useful tool for splitting large, hard products and quickly crushing vegetables and fruits.
BWH is a knife series developed based on the MV-H line. It utilizes molybdenum-vanadium, high-carbon stainless steel MBS-26, which undergoes a three-stage hardening process to achieve a hardness of 58-59 HRC. Each blade is perfected by craftsmen with over 30 years of experience, making Masahiro knives incredibly sharp.
The handle is made from a wood called Black Pakkawood, where numerous layers have been compressed under high pressure and temperature into a uniform, highly durable, moisture- and water-resistant material. The wooden handle with an antibacterial coating is as easy to clean as plastic and is secured with three perfectly placed and polished rivets.
