Masahiro MSC 110_515256 Knife Set

The Masahiro set comes in a decorative package, which includes MSC Chef 180 mm , MSC Santoku 165 mm and  MSC Paring 120 mm knives. This knife set is the absolute minimum that should be in every kitchen, and additionally packaged in a beautiful box, it makes a perfect gift set.

The Chef's knife is one of the most frequently chosen kitchen knives by both professional chefs and cooking enthusiasts. Originating from French cuisine, the characteristic knife shape is used for many kitchen tasks, and the name "chef's knife" emphasizes that it is an indispensable tool for every cook. The knife is very light, and the handle fits securely in both small and large hands. Thanks to the perfect balance of the blade and handle, it allows for a rhythmic, very efficient, rocking motion on the surface when slicing or dicing various products.

Santoku  is a traditional Japanese knife, often referred to as the equivalent of a Western chef's knife. The Japanese name for this very popular knife means "three virtues" or "three excellences." This means that this knife, resembling a combination of a chef's knife and a cleaver in appearance, is very suitable for slicing, dicing, and mincing.

The last knife in the set is the MSC Paring 120 mm . It is a versatile knife, resembling a smaller version of a chef's knife. Its universal use, suitable wherever a chef's knife is too large, can be successfully used for peeling vegetables and fruits.

Masahiro MSC knives are designed for home users. Here you will not find many specialized knives of various shapes. We will find the necessary and most commonly used knives for work in the home kitchen: a chef's knife, a Santoku knife, and a small utility knife. The offer also includes a traditional Japanese knife for cutting vegetables – nakiri.

MBS-26 steel , which was used to produce knives in this series, is a unique alloy of carbon (0.85-1.00%), chromium (13-15%), and molybdenum, manganese, and vanadium. This material has its unique properties due to special heat treatment. The secret of the three-stage process, consisting of hardening, cooling at very low temperatures, and tempering to 58-59 HRC , is known only to the company owner - the Hattori family. The steel obtained in this way can be sharpened to unprecedented sharpness, and maintaining high cutting edge aggressiveness for a very long time is characteristic of Masahiro
