Chef's knife – one of the most frequently chosen kitchen knives by both professional chefs and cooking enthusiasts. Originating from French cuisine, the characteristic knife shape is used for many kitchen tasks, and the name "chef's knife" emphasizes that it is an indispensable tool for every cook. The knife is very light, and the handle fits securely in both small and large hands. Thanks to the perfect balance of the blade and handle, it allows for a rhythmic, highly effective, rocking motion on the surface when slicing or dicing various products.

Santoku is a traditional Japanese knife, often referred to as the equivalent of a Western chef's knife. The Japanese name for this very popular knife means "three virtues" or "three good things". This implies that this knife, resembling a combination of a chef's knife and a cleaver in appearance, is highly suitable for slicing, dicing, and chopping.

Masahiro MSC knives are designed for home users. You won't find many specialized knives of various shapes here. We will find the necessary and most commonly used knives for working in the home kitchen: a chef's knife, a Santoku knife, and a small utility knife. The offer also includes a traditional Japanese knife for cutting vegetables – nakiri.

This material has its unique properties due to special heat treatment. The secret of the three-stage process, consisting of hardening, cooling at very low temperatures, and tempering to a hardness of up to 58-59HRC, is known only to the company owner – the Hattori family. The steel obtained in this way can be sharpened to unprecedented sharpness, and maintaining a high cutting edge aggressiveness for a very long time is a characteristic feature of Masahiro knives, recognized by users worldwide. AUS-8 belongs to the group of so-called stainless steel, which does not react with changes in color or odor upon contact with acidic products. Keeping knives made of this alloy impeccable and shiny is not a problem. Simple washing in lukewarm water with dish soap is sufficient. Just remember to wipe the knife dry after washing.

The handle, made of mahogany, has been perfectly profiled and finished, so the knife when held
