Masahiro MV-H 149_112301_BB Knife Set

Masahiro set in a decorative package, consisting of MV-H series knives: Chef 210mm, Santoku 175mm and Paring 90. The Chef's knife and Santoku are two of the most popular and frequently used kitchen tools, and the set is complemented by a small paring knife for processing smaller products. Everything is packed in a beautiful box, creating a perfect gift set.

The characteristic shape of a chef's knife, originating from French cuisine, is used for many kitchen tasks, and the name "chef's knife" emphasizes that it is an indispensable tool for every cook. The knife is very light, and the handle fits securely in both small and large hands. Due to the perfect balance of the blade and handle, it allows for a rhythmic, highly effective, rocking motion on the surface when slicing or dicing various products.

Santoku is a traditional Japanese knife, often referred to as the equivalent of a Western chef's knife. The Japanese name for this very popular knife means "three virtues" or "three benefits". This means that this knife, resembling a combination of a chef's knife and a cleaver in appearance, is very suitable for slicing, dicing, and mincing.

The Paring knife with a 90 mm blade is a knife designed for peeling and processing small products such as fruits and vegetables. Its shape resembles a miniature chef's knife, and the sharp tip allows for easy maneuvering.

The MV-H series was developed and manufactured for European and American customers who use knives somewhat differently than in Japan. In addition to slicing, knives are also used for chopping in the West. Considering the use of this technique, the blades of the MV-H series knives are slightly thicker and more durable for heavier tasks.

The knives in this line are made from a VG-10 derivative, molybdenum-vanadium, high-carbon stainless steel, called MBS-26, which was hardened in three stages until it reached a hardness of 58-59 HRC. Each blade has been refined by masters with over 30 years of experience, making Masahiro knives incredibly sharp.
