Masahiro MV-S 136_110402 Knife Set

Masahiro set in a decorative package, consisting of MV-S series knives: Chef 210 mm and two universal Utility knives 150 mm and 120 mm. The Chef's knife is the most popular and frequently used knife for kitchen work, and it is usually complemented by universal knives, which are a smaller version of it. Everything is packed in a beautiful box, creating a perfect gift set.

The characteristic Chef's knife shape, originating from French cuisine, is used for many kitchen tasks, and the name "chef's knife" emphasizes that it is an indispensable tool for every chef. The knife is very light, and the handle fits securely in both small and large hands. Due to the perfect balance of the blade and handle, it allows for a rhythmic, very efficient, rocking motion on the surface when cutting or chopping various products.
Utility is a universal knife, which is a smaller version of the chef's knife. Due to its versatile use, it is suitable wherever a chef's knife is too large, making it an indispensable element of kitchen equipment. A smaller version of this knife can also be successfully used for peeling.
MV-S series knives are made of molybdenum-vanadium, high-carbon stainless steel, called MBS-26, which has been hardened in three stages until it reaches a hardness of 58-59 HRC. Each blade has been refined by craftsmen with over 30 years of experience, making Masahiro knives incredibly sharp.

The characteristic handle, made of high-quality stainless steel, has antibacterial properties and is very easy to clean. Special perforations on the handle make it extremely safe and ensure excellent blade control. The integrated handle with the blade is a very strong and durable structure that has a wonderful appearance.

Knives of this series are sharpened on both sides, but unlike most Western manufacturers, Masahiro sharpens them asymmetrically 80/20. This means that the cutting edge is shifted to one side of the knife's axis. The advantages of asymmetrical sharpening include a cutting edge that is up to 35% thinner compared to a symmetrical blade, making it much sharper.

Useful information:

  • All Masahiro knives are extremely sharp, so we recommend using them with caution.
