Description

Masahiro MV-S Utility Knives 150 mm [13604]

Masahiro MV-S Utility universal knife with a 150 mm blade is a smaller version of a chef's knife. Due to its versatile use, it is suitable wherever a chef's knife is too large, making it an indispensable element of kitchen equipment.

MV-S series knives are made of molybdenum-vanadium, high-carbon stainless steel, called MBS-26, which was hardened in three stages until it reaches a hardness of 58-59 HRC. Each blade has been refined by craftsmen with over 30 years of experience, making Masahiro knives incredibly sharp.

The distinctive handle, made of high-quality stainless steel, has antibacterial properties and is very easy to clean. Special perforations on the handle make it extremely secure and ensure excellent blade control. The integrated handle with the blade is a very strong and durable construction with a wonderful appearance.

Knives of this series are sharpened on both sides, but unlike most Western manufacturers, Masahiro sharpens them asymmetrically 80/20. This means that the cutting edge is shifted to one side of the knife's axis. The advantages of asymmetrical sharpening include a cutting edge that is up to 35% thinner than a symmetrical blade, making it much sharper.
