MU BAMBOO knives are made using the highest quality Japanese molybdenum-vanadium steel, hardened to 58-59 HRC . Their handles are made of traditionally Japanese bamboo, carbonized for strength. The use of this material for the handle is a kind of tribute paid by the designers to Japanese nature – after all, bamboo is common in the Land of the Rising Sun.
The MU series was created under the influence of modern fusion cuisine, so Carallo-Grandis included both knives typical of European cuisine and classic Japanese knives, such as Santoku or Sashimi. The entire collection is a perfect combination of Italian design and Japanese quality.
