Suncraft SENZO CLAD Nakiri Kitchen Knife 180mm AS-09
Suncraft SENZO CLAD Nakiri, with a blade length of 180 mm, is a versatile tool that can be used for slicing, dicing, cubing, or finely chopping fresh produce. The knife has a narrow cleaver shape and also resembles a traditional Japanese Usuba knife, but unlike the single-bevel Usuba knife, the Nakiri knife is sharpened on both sides. Its very thin cutting edge glides through sliced products with the slightest resistance. The knife's weight, though light, is sufficient for deep cuts into tomatoes, onions, and other vegetables or fruits. The large blade surface is often used to transfer chopped products from the cutting board directly to a pan, pot, or other container.
SENZO CLAD is a unique product line from SUNCRAFT. The blades of this series of knives are made from clad 3-layer AUS-10 steel. This is a hard material (HRC 58 +/-1) with a carbon content similar to 440C steel, but with less chromium. As a result, knives made from AUS-10 steel are more corrosion-resistant and durable. The addition of vanadium to the alloy reduced the wear sensitivity of SENZO CLAD series knives.
The blades of the SENZO CLAD line, similar to SENZO UNIVERSAL, feature a full tang inserted into the knife handle with rivets. This makes the tool's handle secure and perfectly balanced, allowing for cutting, slicing, and chopping products with a force that perfectly matches the chef's hand pressure.
The handles of products in this series are made from ebony-colored Pakkawood *.
*Pakkawood is laminated birch or maple wood impregnated with resin. It is highly resistant to heat and moisture and was specifically developed for knife handles.
