Description
Suncraft SENZO CLAD Santoku Knife 165mm AS-01
Santoku – a multi-functional Japanese-style knife, the Western equivalent of a popular chef's knife. Its name means "three virtues" or perhaps "three uses". There's a reason – this knife is perfect for slicing meat, fish, and vegetables.
Purpose:
- mincing, chopping
- slicing
- dicing
- cutting
SENZO CLAD - a unique SUNCRAFT product line . The blades of this series of knives are made of clad 3-layer AUS-10 steel . It is a hard material ( HRC 58 +/-1) with a carbon content similar to 440C steel , but with less chromium. As a result, knives made from AUS-10 steel are more corrosion-resistant and durable. The addition of vanadium to the alloy reduced the wear sensitivity of SENZO CLAD series knives.
SENZO CLAD line blades , similar to SENZO UNIVERSAL , feature a full tang, embedded into the knife handle with rivets. This makes the tool's handle secure and perfectly balanced, allowing for cutting, slicing, and grinding products with a force that perfectly matches the chef's hand pressure.
The handles of products in this series are made from ebony-colored Pakkawood *.
*Pakkawood – is laminated birch or maple wood impregnated with resin. It is highly resistant to heat and moisture and was specifically developed for knife handles.
